Corporate Social Responsibility

Our environmental commitment includes designing, building and operating a project that is protective of people and our natural surroundings. It means addressing and cleaning up legacy mining issues, planning now to properly close and take care of the property once mining ends, reclaiming and restoring the property even while mining continues, and leaving an enduring, positive legacy. Read some of the steps we’re taking to protect the environment.
Community involvementBecause we and our local communities are mutually dependent, we also can be mutually successful. Through meaningful relationships and partnerships with our communities, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations, we work together to improve, protect and preserve a valued way of life on the Iron Range. Read some of what we’re doing to make our communities better.
As the first to commercially produce lead ore in Jos plateau and the Nasarawa state we feel a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to do things right. What that means to us is being true to our corporate values, operating to our own high standards of environmental stewardship and meeting our regulatory obligations; working safely, efficiently and productively; taking care of our employees with good wages and benefits; treating our contractors, vendors and suppliers

fairly; being transparent in our corporate governance; and, being a good neighbor. Our mining operation will produce strategic metals, will be a major employer and have a significant presence in the west Africa sub region We take these opportunities and their associated obligations seriously.
